Secret first

Many summer residents, gardeners and gardeners constantly complain about crop failure due to "bad soil": if there would be black soil, then ... the sole, and the crops do not grow. Surprisingly, as early as the 17th century, Jan Baptist Van Helmont had a very instructive experience. He planted a willow branch in a large pot, after drying and weighing the earth. The branch for 5 years was watered only with rainwater and added in weight from 2.35 kg to 68 kg, while, to everyone's amazement, the weight of the earth decreased from 80 kg to only ... 79.944 kg. for 5 years by 65 kg, I used only 56 grams for my food from the ground. It's just a miracle, isn't it? However, Helmont's experience was repeated more than one hundred times by both scientists and ordinary people, and each of you can easily repeat it. By the way, a monument was erected in Brussels for this experience to Van Helmont.

About 400 years have passed, the 21st century is in the yard, and we are still looking for the "secrets of fertility", apparently, in the wrong place. Millions of tons of mineral fertilizers and hundreds of tons of pesticides, annually applied to the fields, do not produce, and now it became clear that they cannot give a tangible result. Crops do not grow, fertility is falling, soils are degrading, mineral fertilizers and pesticides are more and more polluting the surrounding nature. It got to the point that drinking water is sold in bottles, who would have thought about it 20 years ago, and if this continues, then soon you will have to buy clean air for breathing.

Most gardeners and gardeners are still looking for the secret of fertility ONLY in the ground and often do not even suspect that the main food of plants is carbon dioxide (50%). For comparison: nitrogen makes up 15% in the diet of plants, while phosphorus, potassium and all other macro-microelements extracted by roots from the earth make up only 7%. It is carbon dioxide, as well as water and sunlight, that are necessary for the formation of organic matter in the process of such a unique phenomenon as photosynthesis, which occurs in the leaves of plants. Hence the conclusion - create better conditions for photosynthesis, and you will get more harvest. And what kind of conditions are these? First of all, this is illumination: each plant must be provided with a "place in the sun". We do not have the ability to control the sun, but everyone can arrange our plants for better illumination of the sun.

It is unbelievable, but a fact - a rational reduction of plantings by 3 times does not reduce, but also increases the yield by 2-3 times. That is, the efficiency of work is already increasing 6-9 times. Is that possible? Of course, it is possible, if the beds are shaded and narrow (half a meter), directed from north to south, plant on them in two lines (so that each plant is extreme), and the passages are made wide (about a meter). It is this arrangement of the beds that creates the best conditions for photosynthesis. Wide passages and rare plantings not only increase the illumination, but also, due to the greater air exchange, significantly improve the conditions for the main (air-carbon) nutrition of plants. Something here is all about photosynthesis, air exchange and the location of plants, but what about the EARTH, what, it doesn't matter at all? Indeed, from his practice, any sufficiently experienced gardener will say that oh, how much depends on the land. And he will be right in many respects. Because creating conditions for air-carbon nutrition is only the FIRST SECRET OF FERTILITY.

Second secret

The SECOND SECRET is obviously hidden in the ground, as a huge part of gardeners and gardeners thinks. However, as practice shows, most of them do not know what this secret is. Hence, the main mistakes arise, both in soil cultivation in order to improve the conditions for the development of plants, and in fertilization to increase yields and increase fertility, inherent in today's (traditional) agricultural technology.

Both secrets of fertility are taken into account by the modern AGROTECHNICS OF NATURAL AGRICULTURE (APZ), which allows you to work 2-3 times less and get 2-3 times larger yields without any chemistry and with a simultaneous increase in soil fertility.

We will talk about the SECOND SECRET and APZ in the next issue, but for now, for reflection, "a question for filling": did you know that 1 gram of soil, not poisoned by chemistry, contains from a million to a billion microorganisms ?!

Good luck to you, friends.

It is not an easy task to prove the advantage of natural farming over traditional farming. A man who challenged his neighbors and all adherents of the traditional method of cultivating the land, an agronomist by education, Boris Sergeevich Annenkov, by personal example, proved that a vegetable garden can feed itself on its own, without exhausting plowing and mineral fertilizers. He shares his 16 years of experience in natural farming in the books: "Give a shovel to the neighbors", "The queen of the garden - who is she", "Do not disturb the garden with a shovel and a plow."

Let's highlight the most important principles of Boris Annenkov's work, which need to be paid attention to, and especially for novice eco-farmers.

First secret: Give up what wildlife never does:

- from digging and plowing the soil with the overturn of the seam
- from the use of raw manure and mineral fertilizers
- from mulching the beds with raw organic matter during the growing season of crops.

Plan narrow beds (45-50 cm) and wide aisles between them (about 100 cm), while sowing plants in only two rows in each bed. This will ensure an active exchange of air around each plant.

Second secret: For the preparation of organic compost, only waste from your own site is suitable. Apply compost in autumn, after harvest, and in spring, one and a half to two weeks before sowing and planting. Use compost as mulch during the growing season.

Prepare compost only in heaps on the surface of the ground, but not in pits or containers, because in the second case, humus is obtained, and it is harmful to the soil. Lay a layer of organic matter 10-15 cm thick, sprinkle it with a layer of 1 cm of garden soil and pour it with an EM preparation solution, it is prepared at the rate of 1 tbsp. l. solution in a bucket of water with the addition of 1 tbsp. l. Sahara. For 1 m2 of organic layer surface, 5 liters of solution are required. Cover the organic matter hermetically with foil. After a week, place a second layer of organic matter, etc. If it is a spring compost heap, form it until mid-July, after which start forming a second compost heap in the same way.

Third secret: Apply compost, keeping in mind some agricultural practices. In the fall, on the day of harvest, loosen the bed with a Fokin flat cutter to a depth of no more than 5 cm. Level the surface with a rake, spread the compost evenly from the "spring" heap in the ratio of one bucket to two running meters of a narrow bed. Pour the EM preparation solution on top, this is about 5 liters of solution for the same two running meters of a narrow ridge. The solution helps to tighten the cuts on the roots after working with a flat cutter. By the way, the compost layer protects the area from weeds that grow under it and die in frost, without having time to seed. In the spring, two weeks before sowing crops, apply ash to the surface of the ridge (1 glass per two linear meters of a narrow ridge). Walk with Fokin's flat cutter and add compost from the "autumn" heap, then pour the EM-preparation solution according to the autumn dosages.

2 weeks after germination, add compost to the aisles as mulch.

Fourth secret: The preparation of the beds for sowing has some features:

- to destroy the seedlings of weed seeds, on the day of sowing or planting, loosen the ridges with a flat cutter without embedding the previously introduced compost into the soil
- level the surface of the ridge to create an even cover. Pull the twine over the hammered end pegs and place the working part of the rake under
a slight angle to it. Stretching the rake along the ridge, a roll of earth up to 10 cm high is formed under the twine at the edge. Sow seeds and plant seedlings at the inner bases of the formed earth rolls
- sow the seeds at the inner base of the earthen rollers, after pushing the boards with the edge to get a solid foundation
- lightly sprinkle the sown seeds on top of the compost sifted out in the fall. Back-seal the rake and sprinkle with rain or snow water
- also plant seedlings at the inner base of the earthen ridges. Place plants with large tops in a checkerboard pattern.

The function of the earthen rollers is the local preservation of irrigation moisture.

Fifth secret: Caring for planted and sown plants is as follows:

- two weeks after planting, add compost to the aisles (one bucket per four running meters). Pour with the EM preparation solution in a ratio of 1: 1000
- pour the EM drug solution every two weeks
- on hot days, limit yourself to watering with plain water, so as not to violate the integrity of the earth rolls
- to retain moisture, you can cover the ridges with compost, especially if you cannot regularly water them.

Good health!

Thanks to everyone who sent feedback on the film "Agrotechnics of Natural Agriculture". It became clear to me that this topic is interesting to everyone, so I want to offer you a few more films for your attention:

1) "Garden Design Part 1 (Natural Style)" The two-hour film tells how you can create a piece of paradise out of 6 acres of an ordinary garden plot, how to transform a plot from a place where you have to work hard to a place where a person rests. There are no technologies in the film that require fabulous financial investments; anyone can equip a site to their liking, using the techniques of a natural style. The cost of the film on cassette is 140 rubles. The disc contains 70 rubles, but the material on the disc is slightly cut down, the disc runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

2) "Garden design part 2 (Waterfalls, streams, reservoirs)" Film 2 hours. The technology of creating artificial reservoirs on the site is shown. The cost of the cassette is 140 rubles, the disc (shortened version) is 70 rubles.

3) "Flowers in the open field" Also two parts, costing 140 rubles, are not on the discs.

4) "Houseplants" - A very long film about three hours, a lot has been told, even about growing citrus fruits at home. A film on cassette costs 140 rubles.

5) "Design of Pavlov's Garden" It is interesting, but such a design requires money and time, although the result is certainly worth it. A film on cassette costs 140 rubles.

You can order the same as the previous film, write to mosgy @ bk. Common crawl en For those who order for the first time, I will say that the letter must indicate the return address, last name, first name, patronymic in full, do not forget to indicate the postal code, and the order itself.

Protection instead of fight

The good news: a whole new, more rewarding era is beginning in crop protection. We stop "killing enemies" and begin to strengthen the health of the plants themselves. We had time to make sure: a person either lives in such a way that he does without doctors, or is constantly sick, despite the abundance of doctors. After the discovery of bacteria and viruses, it was believed for a long time that “. they are the cause of disease. But now we know that viruses and bacteria are just pathogens. If they themselves were the cause of disease, then we would all be constantly sick, since microbes are present everywhere. The disease occurs when the body has lost the ability to adapt to the environment. " This was said by Robert Rodale, a man through whose efforts the "organists" of the USA and Europe have healthy plants, increasing their immunity with the help of organic matter.

The century-old era of the production of toxic substances to combat living things has led only to the emergence of a huge number of new species that are absolutely resistant to tens and hundreds of chemicals. Just like much of drug medicine, this era fit perfectly into the political and commercial scenarios of governments, but was not resolved by solving the problem, but only inflated it to such an extent that the world became life-threatening. Having paid tribute to the work of scientists, I state that this was a mistake. And I rejoice: it ends.

The fight time is a scary, crazy time. Nature is still perceived as an enemy, and the rapid development of sciences gives rise to the euphoria of omnipotence - a dangerous beginning of the century! Already now we recall with shudder how we sang the hymns of DDT and HCH, how we poured them onto the fields, how they hunted hares with them, in a frenzy, not thinking that we are as warm-blooded as they are. Later we woke up. They began to create less harmful poisons specific to each type of pest. But for them, poison is only one of hundreds of environmental factors to which it is easy to adapt. Hundreds of poisons have appeared. The number of treatments reached ten per season. It soon became clear that it was impossible to keep products clean in commercial production - they became hazardous to health. The world has rushed towards clean growing methods. And we still do not realize that plants get sick mainly due to their weakening and are affected by pests due to monoculture.

Even if we discard the fact that we are actually creating them by fighting pests and diseases, poisons are too impractical for us. First, they have to be applied many times, for which there is neither time nor energy. And our sprayers, unlike the German ones, are designed for strong people and are very exhausting. Secondly, poisons require technological precision: often with an error in the dose, in the amount of spray, in time, their effect almost disappears. Two days late - and "it" has already laid eggs. The rain has passed - washed away. Our treatments "when there is time" and what we learn from the label are for the most part ritualistic. Thirdly, the variety of poisons is so great, and the quality is so uncertain, that it is very difficult to buy an effective drug. Fourthly, all of the above does not allow them to be used together at the same time and to neutralize the whole area. Fifth, poisons do not only kill harmful creatures. A well-cultivated garden is almost dead, its community has been destroyed, and this makes it even more vulnerable. Sixth, we are not accustomed to observing safety measures and waiting times, and we poison ourselves godlessly. So in the country, poisons are even less applicable than in the fields.

I am not criticizing, I just have something to compare with. Drugs - inductors have appeared in Russia. These are the same substances that, having appeared in the cell in the amount of several molecules, turn on certain genes, signaling for cell division and the multiplication of immune cells. As a result, the body grows more vigorously and resists disease. These substances are similar in plants and animals. They are produced by the body itself. They do not kill anyone - they are absolutely non-toxic. They simply enhance immunity and vitality. And the incidence itself is reduced by 2-4 times. And the harvest rises and ripens earlier. Super Fertile Soil Effect!

This is a complex of substances isolated from the needles of Siberian fir. It dissolves well in water. To spray a vegetable garden of four hundred square meters of dense plantings three times, you need 1-1.2 g of the drug. We sell it in bubbles. I poured water to the top, dissolved the drug, and then - according to the instructions: per liter of water - as many drops on cucumbers, as many drops on tomatoes, etc. This liter can be sprayed on 10-15 square meters. meters of beds. It is inexpensive.

Silk was tested by our KNIISH in 1996-1997. In all cases it has shown itself to be a good fungicide (antifungal agent) and at the same time as a stimulant. Tomatoes are 2-4 times less sick with late blight, cucumbers and onions are sick with peronospore, grapes suffer from mildew twice less, shrubs suffer from powdery mildew, and the rot of strawberries is reduced. More than other drugs, Silk helps to resist viruses. We also have insoluble problems with trees: maniliac burns of apricots and cherries, tinder rot of stone fruit wood, curliness of peach leaves. I'm sure Silk can help here.

Inductors do not require specific periods of use. The plant periodically "cheers up", every 3-4 weeks. First, if the bed is ready, you can soak the seeds. The solution is the same as for spraying. They will come out faster and more friendly! Then - spray the seedlings. Then - at the beginning of flowering. And when the disease appears, give it twice in a week.

Here are some reviews of the drug.

“Soaked cucumber seeds in Silk's solution. The next day I was speechless: all the seeds not only hatched, but also sprouted through the gauze. ". “Gardening experience - already 40 years, but I have not seen such a miracle! I do not recognize my tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, and other vegetables grow by leaps and bounds. And the neighbors accuse me of witchcraft. ". “The harvest was excellent. Luka collected from 12 sq. meters 11 buckets, but what! But most of all I was pleased with the potatoes. I dug 135 buckets from 4 acres! " ". As a result of the processing of cucumbers by Silk, the harvest was three times more than in previous years. But I got the greatest joy from the harvest of potatoes: the tubers are large, smooth, there are no sick. "

Even if we assume that all this happened in a particularly favorable summer, the Silk effect is obvious.

This is an absolutely fantastic story. In the late seventies, Georgy Aleksandrovich Protopopov, candidate of biological sciences, isolated from plants a substance that activates DNA synthesis and accelerates cell division of all plants, as well as microbes. The drug has shown the strongest activity. The germination of seeds was accelerated twice, the yield increased, the fruiting period was prolonged, the resistance to diseases and changes in climate, to frost and drought increased by 2-3 times. Biostim has been tested for five years throughout the country - from Moldova to Kamchatka, from Karelia to Georgia. The effect was the same everywhere.

Protopopov was besieged by state farm directors. Amazing things happened on his experimental plots. The grapes managed to give two harvests under the film and the third - on the stepsons. Tomatoes became perennial: the trunks remained to winter under cover and grew back in the spring. The power of the plants increased, the yield grew by 4 kg / m2 per year, and in the third year it reached 12 kg. Biostim healed the soil, quickly turned waste into humus. Even influenced the productivity of animals. And then something happened that should have been: Protopopov suddenly "left", dismissed from work and all his associates. Having managed to get the copyright certificate in 1985, he, humiliated, “lay down on the bottom”.

In the mid-nineties, he was found and "brought out" by Yuri Ivanovich Slashchinin, leader of the Narodny Experience community, an enthusiastic propagandist of organic farming. He began to write about Biostim in his journal Earthly Life and helped to increase its production in St. Petersburg. He himself is actively distributing Biostim.

Biostim is consumed in the amount of 0.01 grams (!) Per one hundred square meters. It has a particularly strong effect when seeds are soaked, at the stage of germination and seedlings. Two treatments of young plants are enough. Increases rooting rate of cuttings up to 100%.

If you spray the soil with Biostim in early spring, then everyone who feeds on living plants quickly wakes up - and perishes from lack of food and cold. Why don't beneficial microbes awaken? Because their food is already dead organic matter, and the active substances secreted by the roots of awakening plants are of no interest to them. But when they already wake up from the heat, then Biostim can help them multiply an order of magnitude faster than usual.

Seeds and cuttings are soaked for 1-24 hours in the same solution that is prepared for spraying: 0.03 grams per 60 liters of water. Together with the drug, it is important to purchase the "Application Method" developed by Protopopov himself: it describes in detail how to dilute the solutions. It is important to take into account that the Biostim solution is stored only at temperatures from -25 to +4 | С, and at a higher temperature it loses its activity.

These mushrooms begin their revelry with the onset of heat, in our country - from mid-June. Each "mature" yellow spot begins to dust with new spores. The dispute lingered in a drop of water - it sprouted. And a week later, a new spot becomes dusty. There are no effective poisons.

I will not forget the bright green tomatoes in August at my client's. "How are you saving ?!" - "Nothing." She covers the garden every night with a large piece of lutrasil. Tomatoes do not "sweat" in the morning from dew. And in the rain, she covers them with a film. After the rain, the lutrasil is thrown early, at five o'clock, so that the soil has time to warm up and in the morning it would be warmer - after the rain the dew is very strong for three days. Everyone is sprinkling with Bordeaux, sprinkling - tomatoes are burning. And hers are green!

In the rainy summer before last, all grape shoots lost their leaves due to mildew. Mildew is a grape featherospore. Cucumber behaves the same way. Spores are raised by a stream of air and fall on the leaves like snow - up to half a million spores form on each affected leaf. At 25-30 | germinate in water in an hour, at 15 | - for three days. They do not germinate without water. Many times I saw: the vines, which had climbed under the canopy, stood out brightly in health among the brown dying shoots of the same bush that did not have a roof. The conclusions are as follows:

1) Cover the plants at least from rain. 2) Arrange the beds so that it is easy to cover them with plastic overnight. If the shelter is reliable, dew almost does not fall in the morning. 3) Mulch the soil thicker with light material or whitewash it to reduce air currents from the heated dark surface. Chances are there are smarter ways to cut off dew.

In the Kuban, cucumbers are processed with milk whey and milk. Indeed, if you cover the leaf with a film that is poorly soluble in water and transmits light, the spores will not be able to germinate: almost all of them fall on the leaves from above. As you can see, there is something to think about.

In the Kuban - cabbage. The first objection to organic matter: the cabbage will get divorced - it will eat everything! But this problem is easily solvable.

The bear walks under the surface of the soil at a depth of two or three fingers. It gnaws and eats young stems and roots encountered along the way. But he eats both larvae and worms. An omnivorous beast. Weak point: does not dig deep. Therefore, firstly, if the walls of the bed are deepened even a little, the bear will not get into the bed. Secondly, the seedlings can be planted in pieces of plastic bottles - cylinders without a bottom, 10-12 cm high. Let them stick out a couple of centimeters above the soil, the rest - into the depths. The bear will simply bypass your plants and damage the weeds. I am sure this is not the only way to tame this beautiful, powerful, intelligent and perfect "animal" in all respects.

and other insects - especially wasps - are very fond of beer. For those who fly, it is left at the bottom of the bottles and placed or hung in the beds, in the crowns, in the bushes. For slugs and a bear, they are poured to the bottom in containers dug just below the soil level. If you cover them from the sun, for example, with paper caps, they will crawl there faster: the shadow, and the smell is stronger. Any beer will do, even the usual Zhigulevskoye, but fresh - you need to pour it once a week.

If aphids attacked well, the easiest way is to hit it with ammonia. Its solution in water is ammonia. Two tablespoons of ammonia in a bucket of water plus an adhesive - a spoonful of shampoo or washing powder. Aphids fall in shock. And ammonia evaporates quickly and gets a little into the leaf - this is a common foliar nitrogen dressing. Can be repeated as needed. Conclusions:

1. You still need a good sprayer. 2. All problems with diseases and pests are solved without struggle. Well, almost everything. Because our mind is the most powerful weapon in nature. Fighting is unwise. Outsmarting is another matter!

From the editorial board: it is very useful to leave beer in the garden overnight and for

hedgehogs. Cheered up, they famously fight pests. This is an experience
